Re: Vince Young
Another thing is that when this test was designed, it was designed for a certain ethnic group: EDUCATED white men. I'm not saying that Young isn't educated, just that the original group design places him at at an immediate disadvantage. Everyone has different learning styles in relation to the culture and society that they grew up with or consider themselves to be a part of. Think about how many students from SWVA do not do as well on standardized tests as compared to students who are from more metropolitan areas. There are more types of intelligence than just being able to work some logic problems. Young has a lot of talent on the field, who cares if he can figure out the trajectory of a pass thrown thrown into the wind from the 30 yd line at an angle of 45 degrees. 9. The ninth month of the year is
1. October, 2. January, 3. June, 4. September, 5 May.

If you are thinking of paying a person 10's of Millions of dollars to make split second discions in reading D's and calling audible I would hope he can reason out the 9th month of the year in 15 seconds LOL.
This does not mean that Young would not end up being a heck of a QB in the NFL but it is defiantly food for thought for an employer that will be investing ALOT of money in Young

Re: Vince Young
But whos to say that he actually missed that question? maybe it was one of the other ones that he missed...

Re: Vince Young
Honistly none were much harder I think I might give the 15 question sample to my 7 and 4 year old and see how they do LOL.
The Math questions might be tough for some not becouse they are hard but thcouse you might have to actualy think about them before answering

I normally agree with a lot of what you say, and partially with this. But to say that this is almost discriminatory toward a race, or culture is almost laughable. This is common math, and relativity. They are not asking you to score perfectly, but just test your aptitude. Simply answer as many questions as you can in 15 minutes. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to do this. Simply if you are slower, get what you can right. 10 is pretty pathetic IMO no matter who you are unless they have a huge learning disability.
This also raises questions to the teams about how well he may pick up an offense, and therefore how early he can contribute to the team. I don't think this means he will be a bust in the NFL. I don't think he will be anywhere near the NFL player that he was in college though. Only an average pro QB at best.

Re: Vince Young
I hear what you are saying and maybe I did not express my point as clearly as I would have liked. What if he does have a learning disabilty, especially when it comes to math? (This is all hypothetical) He may be able to work with math in true form application, but when it comes to a "problem" he may have a mental block. That's kinda where i was going with that....plus the wonderlic was designed in the early '40s I'm thinking........could be wrong though
